Spain’s National Team to Host Community Training Session in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 20, 2026) – The Chattanooga Host City Authority, comprised of the City of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, Baylor School, Vision Hospitality Group, Chattanooga Tourism Co., and The Sports & Events Corporation, is proud to announce a community training session with Spain’s National Football Team. The team will open its preparations to the public with a special training session on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Baylor School Soccer Complex.

Training is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., offering fans a unique opportunity to see one of the world’s premier football programs up close.

Admission to the event is free, but attendance is limited. Tickets will be distributed through a random drawing, and fans must complete an online interest form to be eligible. No purchase or payment is required to enter.

Individuals selected in the drawing will receive two (2) tickets to the training session. The ticket request form will remain open until Monday, June 1 at 5:00 p.m., and selected attendees will be notified by Wednesday, June 3. Each individual may submit only one entry; multiple submissions will not be considered. Submitting the form does not guarantee tickets, as availability is limited.

Members of the media who wish to attend and cover the training session must apply in advance for official credentials by Monday, June 1 at 5:00 p.m. Media access is limited and restricted to approved applicants only. CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 5, 2026) – The Sports & Events Corporation (TSEC), along with multiple community partners, will host five championship‑level sporting events across several venues in May. The significant concentration of state and national championship competition positions the community as a central stage where titles are earned.

Spanning middle school, high school, and collegiate, the slate of events includes three Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) state championships and two National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) national championships. Together, the community will welcome a rare gathering of champions competing across multiple sports, venues, and levels of play.

“Hosting championships of this caliber doesn’t happen by chance. It’s a reflection of what’s possible when infrastructure, experience, and collaboration come together. Our community has proven its ability to deliver championship events with professionalism and purpose, while creating unforgettable experiences for athletes and fans,” said Tim Morgan, President of The Sports & Events Corporation.

From championship matches on the tennis courts to title-defining innings on the softball diamond, May will deliver a steady cadence of pivotal moments and podium finishes, cementing the month as a defining chapter in the community’s sports calendar. This stretch of competition reflects the full arc of athletic development, from middle school through the NCAA, highlighting the powerful role sports play in shaping individual athletes and strengthening teams.

THE SPORTS & EVENTS CORPORATION LAUNCHES TO MAXIMIZE THE POWER OF SPORTS IN HAMILTON COUNTY

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 7, 2026) – The Sports & Events Corporation (TSEC) announces its formal launch as a standalone community sports commission dedicated to maximizing the power of sports to drive tourism, economic impact, and community pride throughout the region.

Incorporated in March 2025 and funded by the Hamilton County Government, TSEC builds upon years of strategic sports tourism development that has positioned Hamilton County as a competitive and credible destination for youth, amateur, collegiate, and elite sporting events. While newly established in name, the organization’s impact and leadership are deeply rooted in the community.

“We believe sports have the power to strengthen communities when it’s guided by purpose, partnership, and accountability,” said Tim Morgan, President of TSEC. “Our focus is simple: bringing the right events for the right reasons and delivering outcomes our community can be proud of.”

For over 14 years, the TSEC team has served as trailblazers for sports events in Hamilton County, leading efforts to diversify the use of regional infrastructure and fully leverage both traditional facilities and natural venues to attract major events across a wide range of sports.

Among those accomplishments is the transformation of the Chattanooga Convention Center into a multisport facility capable of hosting major tournaments through the buildout of 11 basketball courts, 20 volleyball courts, and 36 pickleball courts for youth and adult events. The team has also played a central role in securing and hosting high-profile national championships, including the 2017 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships and the 2023 NCAA Division II Softball National Championship. In 2014, the team spearheaded efforts to bring IRONMAN to the community, launching a partnership that led to global recognition when Chattanooga became the first city in the world to host separate Men’s and Women’s IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships on one weekend in 2017.

Building on that legacy, TSEC has supported the development of new events, including the Mountaintop March Volleyball Tournament and the Tennessee Bass Nation High School Fishing Tournament, and is actively engaged in international level preparations following Chattanooga’s designation as the official team basecamp for the Spanish National Football Federation in June 2026. In May 2026, TSEC will once again host the NCAA Division II Softball National Championship and Division III Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships, along with the TSSAA High School Tennis Championships and Middle School Baseball and Softball Championships, further solidifying the region’s reputation as a trusted championship host.

Chattanooga Named Team Base Camp for Spains National Football Team

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Jan. 30, 2026) – The Chattanooga Host City Authority, comprised of the City of Chattanooga, Baylor School, Vision Hospitality Group, Hamilton County, Chattanooga Tourism Co., and The Sports & Events Corporation, proudly announces that Chattanooga has officially been selected as the Team Base Camp for the Spain National Football Team. One of the world’s most iconic and successful squads, commonly known as La Roja , will call Chattanooga its home as it prepares for the planet’s largest sporting event, taking place June 11–July 19, 2026, across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

La Roja will train at Baylor School’s cutting-edge soccer complex, designated as the training site, where elite facilities will support their pursuit of glory. Beyond training, Spain’s players, their families, media representatives, and supporting delegations will enjoy world-class hospitality across multiple Vision Hospitality Group properties, ensuring comfort and privacy as they prepare for the tournament.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Lookouts and The Sports & Events Corporation, Hamilton County’s regional sports commission, are teaming up to bring the excitement of collegiate baseball to AT&T Field, home of the Chattanooga Lookouts (Cincinnati Reds Double-A affiliate). On Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., Chattanooga will host an intersquad exhibition game featuring two teams comprised of the 2026 University of Tennessee Volunteers baseball roster, marking one final showcase at the historic stadium before its transition to Erlanger Park in 2026.
